Hi, If you are on a budget and you are looking for a cheap way out, I have the MZ-N505 that records but has a bad headphone jack for $15, I have Panasonic players and have used this with great success making discs for them but now I have gone HiMD and no longer need it. Pete

Mine is (the one offered for $9) the same end (mimi B)as all the NetMD Sony decices [attachmentid=1764][attachmentid=1765]. This is not (?) the correct connector?

Did anybody ever replace the headphone jack on one of these? Or is there a place online where someone outlines MD repairs? I kind of expected more of a forum than 'buy a new one'.

Sometimes a question brings up more questions, my MZ-R37 has a line out, aside from the headphones. I play my music from my MD through my PC, hooked up to my sound card. I have never tried to save the music but there has to be a program that does (no?). Also my friend has an Sony MD MZ-R909 I think that you can switch from headphones to line-out. For getting sound onto your computer Xitel used to make an interface that looked similar to the DG2 but was an I/O, these are scarce but another company, M-Audio makes a device called a Transit that does the same. These run about a $100 (http://www.minidisc-canada.com/shopexd.asp?id=272) but I've seen them on eBay for 80ish. Now these devices only get the music to your computer, saving is another thing, surely some member can fill in the blanks here. But in regards to the search for a good voice recording/copy to PC/Mac set up, I think that a bargain hunter can get hooked up for less money, if they have the facts, know what to look for, and put the community to work.

I have a kind of neat MZ-R500PC that is just like new with the xitel analog pc interface. What makes this even more rare is that it's red, and also has Hello Kitty Nightclub Diva on the face. It might be something someone added or a promotion but it lookks very professionally done. a lot of people advertise ther stuff as like new but you will agree that this looks like it was never used.
