    MZ-RH1 firmware

That's very fine... but you can do it only if you have fingers the size of a baby's ones. Regards.
  2. Happy new year to all and everyone... and long live to minidiscs.

    Help please

Well it seems that I'm logged as an admin as there is just one account on this computer that has admin rights. By the way the account "invité" is active. Is that right ? regards.

    Help please

As said in the title, I can't install Simple Burner on a portable ACER Aspire 1502 LMi (AMD Athlon 64). The installation starts correctly and a few seconds after the beginning an error window pops up that says : Component transfer error File Group : applic exe files File : (nothing writen there) Error : Accès refusé When I click the enter button on this windows the installation is cancelled. Please note that SonicStage 4.2 is correctly installed and working on this portable I could perfectly install Simple Burner on other machines in the house without any trouble and everything is working fine. An idea or a solution would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all for reading. Regards. Please respond to : jcolive@free.fr
  6. Another option could be a hand-knitted pouch as the one on the photo. It took 10 minutes to my wife to knit this pouch for my MZ-RH910. Made of wool, it is also very useful to wipe fingerprints on the case of the apparatus... and avoid scratches on its glossy face Keeps feet warm in winter Regards to you all. [attachmentid=1957]
  7. Hi, I know, this question has probably been on this forun a lot of times. Sorry to ask again. In a few words the question is : Which is the best (and simplest) way to tranfer MP3s to a MZ-RH910, using SonicStage ? Normal ? (Sony says it's convenient most of times) Convert ? (If so, convert to what ?). I've read so much authorized advices... very often different that I am a bit confused . A little help from the "gurus" on this forum would be highly appreciated. Many thanks in advance. It's very hot in the south of France. Regards to you all.

    MZM-200

Maybe goods news for those who didn't run to buy a RH1. Maybe an explanation to the fact that third generation stuff is hard or impossible to find. Maybe I'm mistaked . Regards.
  9. You buy 30 regular MDs, you keep the cases and I buy the MDs half price Of course I'm joking Regards.
  10. That's good news... but experience prooves that when the GBP or USD cross the Channel for the first and the Atlantic Ocean for the second the "parity" in never on the boat. One USD becomes One Euro, in best cases, and One GBP something like this. Poor Europeans and poor Frenchies that we are. Is Paypal the best way not to be stolen ? Regards to you all.
  11. Yes, when it comes to France provided the price would be "correct".

    USB 2

Twice is better than nothing... but as far as I know USB 2 (high speed) is forty times faster than USB 1 (full speed). Hello, Mr Sony, you should redo your job

    USB 2

Happy to read that the future MZ-RH1 will be "USB 2" It was time Does that mean that it'll not be necessary to wait for ages when copying files on the disc as it is now with my MZ-RH910 ? BTW I've just ordered five Hi-MD discs in Australia for 29.45 USD (25.22 euros) including shiping to France. I did'nt find cheaper. Regards to all of you.
  14. Nobody's perfect On the other hand, if anybody on this list hears of any kind of external equalizer which could do the job... let me know. Thanking you in advance. Regards.
  15. I've just done it... after hesitating... and it has worked perfectly. The equalizers have appeared and the sound seems louder. All's perfect. Many thanks to you all. Regards.
  16. Well, first, thank you for responding. I think it's easier to set the frequencies using an external equalizer than using the internal one. Maybe I'm wrong This external equalizer permitted to boost the output volume of the walkman, volume which seems to be regulated on the devices sold here in France. Three-band in a bit short as you say. Six would be a good solution. The equalizer I remember of had at last six bands. I tried to find this kind of stuff through a research on Google and Ebay but it seems to be completely discontinued Regards.
  17. Hi, you all. Twenty years ago (or so) I remember using a kind of external equalizer, made by Sony, which was plugged between the walkman (a mini-cassette model) and the earphones or loudspeakers. This was a kind of black metallic box, the size of the walkman, with plenty of sliders on it to adjust the frequencies... and increase the output power. Does anyone know if this kind of stuff still exists, who makes it and where to find it ? I think this could improve the performances of my RH-910 without having to set the internal equalizer. Many thanks in advance for your responses.
  18. OK. OK. All that is clear in my mind and I'll begin to record according to your suggestions ASAP. Thanks a lot. Regards.
  19. Well. I understand that when a music file (MP3 or other) is "dragged and dropped" on a disc it is not recognized as a music file and can't be played doing this way. It's simply a file as many others that can be found on the disc. To be played a file has to be added on the disc using SonicStage. So, does a MP3 file transferred using SonicStage remain a MP3 file or is it transcoded in ATRAC ? If so (transcoded), what are the best settings to use ? I think this is my last question on this problem. Many thanks to all and everyone who responded.
  20. Hi, you all I've just received my new stuff and wanted to try MP3 reading/listening on it. I copied MP3 files on the minidisc (not a Hi-MD one) and... no sound. Just a message saying "NO TRACK". The copy has been made through the dedicated cable from files on the computer. My questions : To read and listen to MP3 files, Is it necessary to use a Hi-MD disc ? Is it necessary to tranfer these files using SonicStage 3.4 (installed on the computer) instead of dragging and dropping them ? Is there an option or something else to activate in the configuration menu ? Is my MZ-RH910 dead on arrival ? By the way, it takes a long, very long, time to copy on the disc through the dedicated cable. Way too long. Maybe USB 0.5 Many thanks in advance for your responses.
