  1. Hello; I'm looking for some information to understand how the wired remotes for the Walkmans work. Recently I bought a Fiio Cp13, and it does the job but I remember my Walkman from the late 90 sounding way much better. I got a great deal from Japan for a WM-FX855 and it has the wired remote with the stupid proprietary connector that Sony called Micro Plug. The unit sound is amazing, even with the original earbuds. The unit also has a 3.5mm headphone connector but the mega bass and groove can only be activated using the wire remote. If I connect my Koss Porta Pro the sound is good but not as good as the factory earbuds connected to the remote and the volume is not that loud. So the question is, does the wired remotes work like an amp. That's the Magic? Not a fan of groove mode but on older cassettes it helps. XDR cassettes sound amazing, also my LP recordings.
  2. Hello everyone. I have a Sony MD Walkman MZ-R70PC I’m looking to sell. It’s never been opened and in it’s original box. My grandfather bought it and never even bothered to open it. Please let me know if you are interested. Thank you.
  3. Hello everyone, I was digging through an old box I have and was surprised to find an old walkman NW-S603 that I got as a present (bought in Japan). It's been a long while since I last used it, and back then I used to import songs to my walkman through Sonic Stage software. Unfortunately, while browsing the web for more info, I did not find an offline version of this software and most probably lost the installation cd. I have also watched some videos in which they gave instructions on using MediaGo/Music Center by Sony, but those don't seem to recognize my walkman, might be for another model, most probably. Any tips on how can I "resurrect" this little guy? Anyone with an offline installer hosted somewhere or another "new" software that might do the job? Thank you!
  4. Have a Sony MD Walkman (MZ-NE410), its case, a md, and a battery. This would be for someone who already has the Sonicstage software. If interested, I will post pictures. Thanks.

  6. Dear SonyInsiders, I stumbled across this forum as I searched for some details of my MZ-E10 Minidisc Portable Player. So I thought I'd post it here first and see any members are interested in purchasing it? I cannot remember when I bought it - I bought it in London. I had many Minidiscs back in the day - but stupidly threw them when we moved from London to Zurich back in 2009. I pretty much have photographed it from all angles. So I hope you can see the condition is top. The Ear Phones are the Originals - I never used it that much to be honest - I just kept hold of it. Please see the photos and if your are interested - send me a PM or so... Oh - if you wanna trust me (as I'm a newbie) I can send you a Web Link privately to my own Company based here in Swistzerland. So wishing you all a wicked weekend wherever you be. Regards Benoit Oops. The Plug to the Charger Cord is a 3 Pin UK (United Kingdom) Type.

  8. I've rooted my Sony Live with Walkman. Everything seems to work fine, but I uninstalled some bloatware that I really don't need (like GMail, Facebook, Youtube, etc). Somehow, one of these made it so that I can't open contacts anymore. I go to the list and click a contact and nothing happens. If I long click, it will open the options and allow me to edit the contact. It just won't let me phone/message. I have the favorites widget on one of the screens and the same thing happens there. I can add contacts, just nothing happens when I click them. To call someone, I have to long click and select "Edit number before calling" Anyone know what app removal might have caused this and how to fix this?
