The_Stamp
Before Hi-MD came out, I got the salespeople at the sony store so interested in the events of hi-md, now they ask me questions regarding the technology! example: lets say "Mark" asks me if you can upload previous recordings with netmd and before. Naturally, i said "nope, without doing it Analog". so hes like "darn, i guess i'll be expecting a return soon, he recorded his entire LP collection on MD" im like "yup, but sony may just drop the DRM on the NEW hi-md, but the old MD is toast." hes like "awww."
dex Otaku
I'm the local guru on HiMD, and I probably know more about MD than 99% of the people here, but I know I wouldn't be the guru on it.
Hyena
No one I know cares enough about MD, so it's sort of moot. The only question I answer is what it is, and then mid-sentence they stop listening. For awhile though my roomie, who bought a MZ-NH900 was asking me questions about it, but I pointed him in the direction of the intarweb, and now he has all the answers he needs. :rasp:
KJ_Palmer
Like Hyena, no-one I know is particularly aware of MD, unless they see my portable and are curious enough to enquire about it. In fact, most people don't seem to be that interested in portable music at all. We have one iPod in the office, a couple of PCDPs, an old tape player or two and me with me NH900... It's easy to be an MD guru in my place... :rasp:
Davew
yeah me too, I only know about two people who have minidiscs and they want to get iPods or some other hdd player instead. my 800 is the only himd player ive ever seen in the flesh and ive never actually heard anyone else even *talk* about himd! yep, so its quite hard to be a guru! Guest NRen2k5
All of a sudden, there are many people in my area who own the MZ-N510, and I know more about MD than most of them.
