Syrius
Hi. I have looked all over the site, but can't find a definitive answer. I understand Hi-MD will upload tracks made through the analog input. (PCM, Hi-LP and Hi-SP) . Can you upload tracks made through the optical input in Hi-MD mode? Thanks. highlandsun
Hmmm, I've never tried that. Will give it a shot. I wonder if SCMS will make a difference.
highlandsun
I just played a track from my MDS-JB920 and recorded it optically on my MZ-NH1, and it uploaded fine using SonicStage 2.2. Of course the track was originally recorded live (analog) on my MZ-R50, so it shouldn't have had any SCMS protection in the first place. xispe
i uploaded succesfully a track recorded in my nh700 via optical from a my CD player. The source CD is a original one, that contains those weird copy protection systems from... Sony...
sxc
You can upload the optically recorded tracks to the PC, but like all other uploads, the only thing you can do is to transfer to another MD or play it back on your computer. When Sony releases its Wav Converter, if the reports are correct, optically recorded uploads will not be able to be converted to wav. Only recordings made via analog input will be able to be converted.
