Tomdigital
I reinstalled my WinXP and started from scratch. My Sonicstage soundfiles were on Partition D: After installing SS2.2 I could not play any of my files, whenever I click on one it asks me if I want to buy a license. This crappy Rights management, I had forgotten about that. What can I do? Is all my music lost? This bloody DRM makes the HIMD players a no seller and a dead product, could be great but the absence of freedome ist simply unbearable. PLEASE help, Tomdigital
Christopher
I'm sorry, but there's nothing you can do [afaik]. I do know that there is a thread related to hacking the files so you can regain access but it seems a little undefined at the moment. There is a backup utility within Sonicstage, so don't scorn Sony too hard because you didn't employ it.
doclloyd
Unfortunately, you may be at a loss. You need to run the SonicStage backup tool before formatting your PC and starting over. It's the only way to keep the files playable again later. It all has to do with encryption keys and such... someone else could explain it better, I'm sure. atrain
did you install sonicstage on partition D? if not on the same drive sonicstage can get nasty. doubt it'll help but if the answer's no, then try uninstalling & reinstalling on the same drive.
