on the mini-disc player. Like when I transfer I want to select only the files that aren't on the playing already. Anyone know if I can do this?

The problem is: Dex is right.

What you want is a sync function. And that works only with harddisk based players.

If your collection is bigger than 50 to 100 tracks, then you will always have a greater part of your collection, that is NOT on the disc, that happens to be in your player. The Sync always relies on the fact, that the whole collection fits on the player in one go and that is not possible with MiniDisc....

However, there is a way to 'tag' the albums, that had been tramsferred:

right click on the album, click on 'Properties' then check or uncheck the box at the bottom of the dialogue: "Make this a My Compilation Album".

This selects a different icon in front of the album name and has no other effect.

Unplayable after transfer? Check, if you can make recordings through line in. If yes, than it might be a problem with imported MP3 files. Decode them to Wave first, then import these wave files into SonicStage.
