watcher666
I have a sinking feeling in my stomach that there wont be any car or home deck's for Hi-MD!
sknight
Yeah, essentially speaking, the home and car decks that are still being made are throwbacks to four and a half years ago. A better idea to compete is to make a USB connection on the car decks that will allow iPod or MD connection. Alpine is already offering an iPod connection on some of their head units, as well as those made for BMW are offering it factory stock. Just like digital inputs became standard, the home units should offer USB inputs for this purpose.

That would be a real slick idea. I checked out Alpine's IPod adaptor and I liked that. Might not be a bad idea for Sony to go that route. aeriyn
For MD, being a removable format, a car deck type device makes more sense. A connectable adapter such as the iPod's BMW and Alpine adapters are only used because the media of the iPod can't be removed.
