mgdimo
How about this: Since I'll be almost exclusively doing live recording, couldn't I just "play" my MD in realtime onto say, a Pro Tools or Digital Performer? Not that I actually have either of these.... But consider the scenario. Realtime transfer doesn't seem to be that big a deal to me. Hit play and record and come back in an hour and a half. Are the only advantages of SS for live recording the faster than realtime download, organization, and... I dunno... compatibility? It just seems bizarre that sony would make such a fine product in the NH900 and bundle it with such a disconcerting software package. Like many in this community, I just wanna record stuff, maybe tweak it a little, and burn CDs of it. Thanks for holding my hand through all of this, as I am new to it and I don't have much technological insight.
Christopher
Sonicstage must still facilitate the playback, but you can put it in skin mode and it'll be greatly minimized whilst you use the other utilities that you mentioned. btw, I've split this question because it's not really related to your inital inquiry in the topic and would be better served upon searches in the future. deafplayer
would it be practical to carry a copy of SS around on a HI-MD that you can install on others' computers to facilitate listening to the disc? i have no idea how much setting-up effort it would take to get to the point of just listening to the disc, as ive never used SS
