Newbie question - minidisc capacity

hello everyone,

I have a beginner question. Im in the market for a netmd player (never owned one before). What is the music capacity (hrs) for a minidisc?

Using a 74 minute md

SP is 74 minutes

LP2 148 minutes (2 hrs and 28 min)

LP4 296 minutes (4 hrs and 56 min)

Using an 80 minute md

SP is 80 minutes

LP2 is 160 minutes (2hrs and 40 min)

LP4 is 320 minutes (5 hrs and 20 min)

My experience is that 74/80 SP is actually 73.5/79.5 minutes and that ratio holds when recording in LP2 and LP4.
