i9796674
Hi,I have a Sony NetMD N1 minidisc (bought in the UK) which has been working correctly using OpenMG 2.2 on a Windows XP system.Yesterday I upgraded OpenMG to SonicStage 2.3 and the software seems to work ok but it does not recognize my minidisc and I cannot fix it.- Is my minidisc is compatible with SonicStage 2.3 (downloaded from the US site)?- Do I need a new USB driver to use with SonicStage? (I think I am using the one that was installed with OpenMG 2.2)- Where can I get the lastest drivers and updates for my minidisc? Thanks in advance,Alonso
Ishiyoshi
All NetMD units should be 100% compatible with SonicStage regardless. It seems that you may need to reinstall your NetMD driver. Did SonicStage 2.3 uninstall your previous driver in the process of the update? If so, try reinstalling your N1 driver. In addition, check your XP device manager to view the status of your NetMD driver under USB controllers. Sometimes, uninstalling and reinstalling the driver will rectify your problem. If you can get hold of a SonicStage 2.x CD, you should be able to locate the Personal Audio Driver folder.Nevertheless, you should either try:1) Uninstalling and reinstalling your NetMD drivers (NetMD drivers derived from your present SonicStage CD) and reboot your machine.or2) Try reinstalling the updated (updated in a sense that it includes newer NetMD and HiMD units) Personal Audio Driver by using the SonicStage 2.3 Application Upgrade Installer/Upgrade Utility.Note to Mods: Perhaps this thread should be move to Technical Support? Christopher
Welcome to the forums, i9796674. I would also recommend upgrading to Service Pack 2 for XP for the best Sonicstage experience. Please report back if you continue to have software issues.

Syrius
Don't forget to back up your music before hand. SS is still a bit of a pain.
