though
i would like to buy a home unit and/or rack mount HI-MD unit that plays mp3s. are these out yet? if not, is there a model or date specified yet?also, are there units out there that allow you to scroll through the songs on a disc while one is being played and allow you to cue it up to start immediately following the one currently playing? this is DEFINITELY a feature i would like on the home / rack mount unit!thanks,- troy
roguefan99
Check out http://www.minidisc.org/part_Onkyo_MD-133.html for the home deck, I assume this is what you are after.
doclloyd
It an interesting question, esp. on the heels of Onkyo releasing Hi-MD decks in Japan. Not a whole lot is officially known about them (I don't think they're out yet), so one wonders if they will have the direct MP3 playback capability that the 2nd gen portables will have. Only time will tell...
though
i dont see anything mentioned about mp3 playback or "cueing" of the next song while one is being played. are these features of the onkyo?
roguefan99
Sorry my apologies, I shouldn't read the forum when I'm tired. I seriously doubt it will play MP3 as well, I read it as MD.I dont believe there is one, it might cue up the next song when its played but thats the only home unit that I've seen announced.
