Christopher
Hi, I just got into Counterstrike: Source [a bit late ] and I love the idea of teamspeak. Is there a sonically good headphone out there with a microphone built in? If you play these types of games, what do you use?
MZ-NH1
Ahahah mate. I remember the years of CS! Haven't played it for about a year now since I just don't have time to. I haven’t bothered buying the HL2 Packs and that but 1 of my mates has and says the graphics are awesome.A good headset and mic... what I had was a headset and mic, but only used the mic because the headset was so poor a quality. Some people use thesehttp://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.storefro...uct/View/XH4734while other net cafes have set up users with these....http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products...,CONTENTID=6339Hope this can help you. Maybe if enough people here played or use to play CS, then we can get a server up some time and all have a map or two together
Christopher
Thanks for the tips. I've also been looking at the Sennheiser PC150: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-106-346&depa=0Bad news though, my Radeon 9800XT died yesterday. @#$%!p.s. Heck yeah about playing CS! Anytime mate.
aeriyn
beyerdynamic makes some very good headsets for broadcast and filmmaking use. I'd use theirs over a "gaming" headset any day.
Christopher
Yeah, but $200 is a bit of a stretch for that..In the meantime, I've been using my DT770's and my Sound Pro SP-BMC-2's together [akward, yet feasible], but it looks like I'm going to bite on the aforementioned PC150 unless I can get another sub $100 - 150 recommendation. We used to use them to play Counter Strike from our datacenter complete with our own separate voice server (well before it was built into CS) at work a few years ago. 10 ping in the time when most people were using 56k modems @ 300 ping was awesome. The mic was cheap then, maybe $30. Ebay perhaps?
