ballsandy
I recently have noticed that the overwrite head on my sony MZ-N505 has stopped working and i can no longer record ont the disks.I have been told that to get a new overwrite head will mean also getting a new laser pickup ant it will total $120 to fix.All i need is the overwrite head and i swear i saw a replacement one without the laser pickup somewhere but i have since forgotten where.Anyone know where it is or where i can get it?And will it cost less than a new md player? atrain
try ebay for a replacement 2nd hand or cheap new unit. repairing a fairly elderly unit is not cost effective. put it up on blocks in the front yard or something...

Christopher
You can get a new N505 for like $50 on American eBay.
