yamagatacamille
with the transition of hi-md growing, will sony even release any new MDLP players at all? i would think new sony MDLP recorders are a thing of the past w/ those new Hi-MD units out.. so simply, would we expect to see a new MDLP player be released anytime soon? thanks.though i might get a sharp MDLP player anyway. zerodB
As you probably already know, the latest offerings are the MZ-E630, and 730 - upgrades of the 620 and 730 respectivley. The 630 is certainly very stylish (as is it's younger sibling, the 620), and comes with a *WHITE* 33EL remote with matching white short-cord EX51s.I love my 620, it's great bang for your buck especially with the included phones so the 630 is a one i'd recommend. The 730 is essentialy the same deal as the 720. They both have the high-def amp!!! Personally, I prefer the style of the 730 to the 720.
atrain
they are still releasing the budget psyc modles akin to a 420d, in fact they just annouced the 430 will come in white/green & grey/orange[?]the e730 is still within 12 months of release, there are new kenwood & panas on the market as of last month off the top of my head.couple of years yet before they dry up entirely imo
yamagatacamille
maybe i should go for the remaining MDLP players; i'm sure sony is done w/ MDLP players, guess that's what Hi-MD is for -- the DS77, and E730 (or E720 -- PINK!) are good candidates.
