circushead
Hi AllI have a MZ-NH1 with a cradle that has power connector only. To connect to the PC you have to remove from the cradle and plug in the cable. I see some ads on Ebay that state the cradle is USB so no need for seperate power(charges from pc) and also no need to remove from the cradle to connect. Is any one aware of this cradle and how do I get may hands on one of these?CheersCircushead
reefbeef
I believe this is misinformation on Ebay. In the early stages of HiMD, it was rumored (or maybe even stated by Sony, can't remember exactly), that the stand would act as the link to the PC as well as the charger. But this was later cleared up by Sony. The stand is only a charger AND the only way to charge the NH1. A separate cable is supplied to link to PC. Also, it is my understanding that this cable powers the NH1 from the USB port, but does not charge it.I am hoping someone makes a charging plug that bypass the stand soon... emmrecs
I have just checked the Sony UK site and it states the unit is supplied with a charging USB cradle. i have mailed sony to find out if this is correct.Cheers←Don't they simply mean that charging takes place when the unit is on the cradle and the cradle connected to the mains, because the only connection between the cradle and the unit IS the USB socket?
