I just bought a new RH10 from the Sony Style store in Boston last night. I gotta say I like it a lot. It was very cool to walk in and get my RH10, which they had placed on hold for me. I had tried through 2 different online vendors who kept telling me my order was in process for 3 or 4 days. Give me a break. I know I paid a little more than I should have ($314 once the tax was added) but it was cool to walk out of the store with my new RH10. I got the Black model and it's very beautiful. Feels very durable and I dare to say, smaller than my NH900. I don't have the Nh900 with me but once I get home, I plan to get them together for a comparison. The OLED is very nice and worth all the hassle I had to go through.

No line out on the menu and the recorder can't record in MDLP. I never used the MDLP recorder on the NH900 and I will learn to deal without the line out. But, it's all worth it for the OLED and the feel of the RH10 construction. I am satisfied with the upgrade. Looks like Sony finally figured out how to package this unit. It was in a box in the display, not in some grotesque plastic mass hanging on a hook. They are treating it with some respect by making the packaging more geared to a display case, not hanging on a hook in Wally World. I appreciated how easy it was to get into the box instead of having to cut through plastic like a cheap Christmas toy. The remote is weak and so are the ear plugs but I don't plan on using this as a digital music player once I get off the airplane on my trip back home. This is a recording unit for me except for some playing around at times. I got the trusty old MZ-S1 for the digital music on the go...

I will take some pictures over the weekend if anyone is interested. I will be recording my first show on Saturday night. Looking forward to watching that OLED recording meter display during the show.

BTW, my NH900 is FOR SALE along with my RM-MC40ELK remote. Check it out in the classifieds.

Ok, I gotta checkout of the hotel and get to the conference.

Signing off as a new and happy RH10 owner,

M
