I have both and it's VERY limited. That's why I am selling my 40ELK along with my NH900. I don't have much use out of a limited fancy looking remote. You CANNOT set the 40ELK to stay backlit. You don't get the full menus. Kinda lame but you don't need much with that OLED.

Not sure how different the 40ELK and the RH910 would be.

Anybody know?

I ordered this remote to check recording levels during live recording...could you verify the remote works for this...Thanks

I have the 40ELK (nice piece of hardware, I love it rolleyes.gif) http://paginas.puj.edu.co/cmuriel/linux/thebest.JPG so I can say for sure that the 40ELK shows the recording levels, just check the MZ-NH1 manual for more info.

???.... do you mean you cannt do on the remote: Menu->Options->Backlight->On

Btw the 2dn gen turist models have remotes with no LCD... weird, isnt it??
