Our sons received a Sony Network Walkman and MD Walkman for Christmas. We installed the SonicStage program and everything worked fine. Now when they go to transfer songs from the computer to their walkmans the following occurs:

"An error occurred while transferring. Cannot convert the specified track. SonicStage does not support the format of the track..." This is occurring even with songs that they have transferred previously. I installed the 3.1 version hoping that would help but it didn't. We are running WinXP, Morpheous, WinMX, Nero, etc. Don't know if you need any more information. Hope someone can help. The boys would appreciate it since they would like to be able to use their walkmans. Thanks.

Is it constant Bitrate, or variable? If constant, what's the bitrate?

I'm not sure what's variable or constant. I check the different songs and some show a bitrate of 128, 160, 192. The 128 and 192 and the most common ones with alot of the different songs. Hope this helps.

this problem also happens to me.

I'm using a Sony N-10

and Sonic Stage 3.1

whenever i try to transfer a track onto the md always the error msg comes up:

"Unable to transfer the track or tracks."

does anyone know why this happens?

I've tried the different recording modes from SP,LP2,LP4 and none of it works still comes up with the same error message. From the specified transfer mode selection and also the other 2 transfering methods, SP transfer mode and standard transfer mode.

The music i'm trying to transfer are .mp3 file format

All the bitrates are: 192

and sameple audio rate at 44hz.
