Ishiyoshi
Hey, Ish, you would not know the power for Euro E501 would you? It doesn't mention it in the manual linked on minidisc.org equipment browser.Although it does not have the all important type-s...←As per requested, I reviewed most of MZ-E501's European (including English, French, German and Italian) user manuals to ascertain its headphone output; and I came to a conclusion that it is possible the European MZ-E501 do not have a reduced headphone output. However, this may just be a fleeting conjecture as this particular unit, the MZ-E501 is a 2001 model and it should have a reduced headphone output required by EU law.The European headphone output ceiling is directly related to the 1986 EU Council Directive 86/188. As you know the premise of this law is to reduce exposure to noise in order to lessen the risk of hearing loss; to reduce noise levels preferably at source, and to provide for the provision and use of personal ear protectors. So, it is likely that the MZ-E501 did conform to this regulation. However, the European user manuals do not have precise indication of the European headphone output which we usually see. Thus, it is plausible to state that the MZ-E501's headphone output regardless region is rated at 5mW + 5mW.For your convenience, please review the attached User Manuals. atrain
i can confirm the e500 european [russian in this case] variant has a 5mw 16ohms according to the back of the manual. given these are very similar units in specs, body size & weight & market postition, i think it's safe to assume that the same no.s will be relevant. Michael1980
Thanks for the response. I can also confirm that E10 does not have a limit either.
