atikin
Please help me resolve my problem!Minidisc with records got from mic. Transferred with SS3.0 to the library. It didn't let me instantly convert the files to WAV. After MS Windows XP re-installation (for some other reason) SS3.3 doesn't let me even play the files from my folder on HD nor transfer them again from my Hi-md saying smth like "You can only transfer files recorded through LineIn/Mic inputs (but this is the case!!! -- I suspect SS3.0 to remark my records on md as "transferrred from Hi-MD"). And "You can only play the files on the same computer from which... bla-bla-bla".1. My copyrights are protected from me!2. That was the same computer (the system is different).3. I think a leader like Sony shouldn't be so paranoic as this is the policy of weak spirit. What can I do with all this crap? (especially #1.)Guys, I'm from MacOS planet and it hurts here...Thanx in advance.

Really noone found the way to do that?It is really irritating that I can't play those files...
kerfuffle
You can unprotect your Atrac files by converting them (same bitrate and everything), but unchecking the copy protect box at the bottom of the dialog box.

maxthrusters
Have you tried updating SonicStage to the current version, SonicSage 4.2? At some point after 3.2 protected songs could be converted as unprotected.
Krunch
SS 4.2 also says:"Playback is not allowed."When I try to convert...
