If I plug my RH910 into a Mac, will it be recognized as a data drive only? We have Macs at school and not having to buy a separate data drive would be nice. Thanks.

This is also my first post, so hi all.

welcome to MDCF Matty,

yes, your RH910 should be recognized by Macs (tested it with OS9 & OSX, not so sure about prior OSs) as a data drive...but as you say, only as a data drive, so no (playable) music transfers (unless you use Virtual PC)...

hope this helps,

Volta

Please note that as a storage medium, the Hi-MD is a bit slow. Took me half an hour to push 300 MB of data into my RH10. Definitely not a good option if you like to go fast and furious with file copy and hot swapping. Or if you are aching to go home (like I am now).

It is also likely to spin and spin and spin with little or no result, as happened today again with an emac at college, after a few tries at connecting it the storage icon would no longer appear on the desktop.
