sebastianbf
hii just bought a pair of new gumstick type sony batteries for my mznh900. I've heard that you must charge them completely the first time. Is it true? What else should I do to make my batteries long lasting?ThanksSebastian

corduroy
maybe it's right to charge and discharge them completely and if you want to save them for some time it's better to leave dischargedi usually do like this with the rechargeable batteries and all went always right but it's the first time that i use this gumstiks
Sparda
Yes, you do have to completely charge them for the first time. Actually to preserve Ni-MH batteries' life keep a little bit of charge in the battery when not using it for a very long time so it doesn't over dis-charge, believe it or not.
