sebastianbf
Hello I own a mzr900 and I want to repair it. My recorder doesn't play, record ro even read anything, so it's a problem with the optical head (I think that's the name). I know it's going to be expensive to repair that. So I want to know the aprox price for the repair (if someone know or had the same problem), and the most important thing is that I want to locate a sony repair center near Mendon, NY (zip 14506). Please I need your help. Thanks you.Sebastian
atrain
honestly it'd be cheaper 9in the long run to purchase a new himd. the cost of optical blocks + work is scandalous & the advent of himd means you can fit so much more onto each disc whilst still playing back/recording any old discs you own, not to mention uploading your recorded material.my advice would be to purchase a sony RH10 or RH910
The Low Volta
my advice would be to purchase a sony RH10 or RH910←I do agree with atrain that you should be looking for a new one.But if you can live without MP3 playback, I would say look around for a downpriced NH900, as this is still a very good machine (better than 2nd gen in some respects) and the prices can be very low (try amazon and stuff)Greetings, Volta
