Hi,

I've been reading the forums. I'm interested in a Hi-MD recorder for high quality live recordings with a line-in for a mic. This is my main interest in a MD unit and am looking for a relatively inexpensive recorder with good recording quality so I can upload my live recordings onto my PC. Does anyone have any recommendations of models?

Thanks so much,

Jerets

I would suggest the Sony MZ-RH910. It is the lowest priced Hi-MD recorder with a Mic input. I have one and it is excellent at uploading WAV files back to the computer.

Thanks for your responce. I'm looking at a similar model; the Sony MZNH900. Will it do what I'm trying to do also?

Thanks

yes it will, it's actually a bit more sofisticated than the RH910, but as it is 1st gen HiMD, it won't play MP3's without conversion and the RH910 will

how can you play MP3 on these without converting? I have an mz-rh10 and never was able to play these files? tell me how?

thanks

just check 'transfer as is' somewhere in SS... (at the transfer setup or options or something...see the help files for a better explanation)
