Otis P.
One thing wrong with this Minidisc - too quiet! Has anyone out there cracked this?
Ishiyoshi
We don't have the codes for the N710. However, you can definitely obtain its service manual to change the regional settings other than Europe to "uncap" the volume limit.
A440
Also, make sure under Menu/Options that AVLS is OFF.
KJ_Palmer
Better earphones should help too. Low impedendence/high sensitivity ones or those that isolate from the environment are probably your best bet. You can search the board, or even ask, for suggestions... soundalike
Moving the volume above 25/30 doesn't seem to do anything on my UK MZ-NH900. Is this the same problem and if so is it safe to let an idiot like me hack the unit? I use it for work all the time so 'breaking' it isn't an option! Also would changing the region also change the language - of course changing from UK to USA would not be a problem if this did the trick.Apologies if this info is repeated elsewhere. Many thanks
The Low Volta
Moving the volume above 25/30 doesn't seem to do anything on my UK MZ-NH900. Is this the same problem and if so is it safe to let an idiot like me hack the unit? I use it for work all the time so 'breaking' it isn't an option!in this thread the procedure for hacking the NH900 is explained... as long as you exactly follow the procedure you should be safe... if you do something wrong, just DO NOT PRESS PAUSE, just remove all power sources and start againAlso would changing the region also change the language - of course changing from UK to USA would not be a problem if this did the trick.nope, language will remain the same I believe...I actually believe it does make a difference, but it is also true that the volume limit on european models isn't just firmware based, so it will never be as loud as other regions (kust check this thread)best advice I can give? perform the hack if you feel confident enough and buy some good headphones that are more efficient (like the Panasonic RP-HJE50 or something else as long as it is more in ear/closed type...)hope this helps
