joeyniji
hello i just bought a used mz-ne410 today. its my first net md (only my 2 md altogether). it didnt have any manual or software. so i just downloaded SS from here (thank you btw for providing it). im just wondering when i went to transfer some songs from the computer to the md it also gave me the option to tranfer to the computer from the md? i thought this was only possible with "HI-MD"?also i thought SS had audio editing tools ie: trackmarking/fade ins/outs/deleting? if not does anyone have any suggestions on a good but low priced editing software so i can create cd's of my brothers music recordings?also does SS let me create folders and groups so i can navigate through my md's easier when im playing them in the car?thanks for any help,JoeyPSS-is this the main minidisc message board or is "minidiscussion" still a good one to go through
atrain
stay here mate, join us. join us.anyway sonicstage can make folders for specific albums or any other grouping you'd like. right click on the md window in SS3.2 to create them. also have you downloaded simple burner yet? i'd use that in combination with an internet connection to transfer cds to your md. continue to use sonicstage for mp3s & other music allready on your computer. The Low Volta
it also gave me the option to tranfer to the computer from the md? i thought this was only possible with "HI-MD"the option isn't blacked out...but that doesn't mean it is there, just try it, it will crash at 36% or something. So I'm sorry, really no faster than realtime uploading with NetMDalso i thought SS had audio editing tools ie: trackmarking/fade ins/outs/deleting?SS has a few editing features, only the merge tracks one is really useful and only with uploaded tracks (from HiMD)... I don't think you can edit imported (from CD) tracks if not does anyone have any suggestions on a good but low priced editing software so i can create cd's of my brothers music recordings?just use the free audacity (can be found at the MDCF-downloads section...pictogram up right on the screen)is this the main minidisc message board or is "minidiscussion" still a good one to go throughwell, I haven't visited any other one and all my problems (and my spare time) have disappeared thanks to this one

atrain
importing into what format? if you want to import into mp3 try cdex it's freeware but i'd advise going straight from cd to md where ever posible.
The Low Volta
I've been going CD->SB->MD since I bought into, the format and haven't been disappointed yet... so, no need to complicate things when going CD->MD, just use SB as atrain suggested and all should be OK (with folders and all)
