I immediately thought of AdvancedMP3Players.com, but their prices are far higher (6GB = £159 and 20GB - £199), and although they will often do a price match, I'm pretty sure the price differential here is far too great for them to consider coming even close. They do ship overseas though.

If you have a friend in the UK (if not, maybe some kindly soul could assist you on the board), perhaps you could ask him or her to send it to you? The only things militating against that would be your inability to claim VAT back as a non-EU citizen and possible problems over the warranty (is Sony's warranty effective worldwide?).

Also, have you tried eBay?

Kind regards,

Pooh

thanxx for the suggestion pooh.. But i dont have any friend in UK and the warranty is another handicap for me.. Also the prices you have mentioned are far far away from the amazons prices..

At least becasuse of the warranty problem i must choose to buy it in here... According to till25's brolen display problem...

Here is a1000 is more expensive than a3000 which is sold on amazon... =)))

Razorback, I found one more site you could use to buy the A3000, the price is cheaper than AdvancedMP3Players.com, around 20 pounds cheaper and they do ship internationally.

http://www.stoneaudio.co.uk/default.asp?re...sp?product=1647

http://www.stoneaudio.co.uk/

One thing though, the AC cable's plug (from theUK) is well different than mainland europe I am assuming? correct? Since I believe japan has similar plus to north america, and most if not all of continental europe has the 2 round plugs.

Good thing about the AC adapter is its worldwide, 100-240V, and 50-60Hz, so you can use it anywhere, which is a good thing since I travel, and I am sure the costs are cheaper to make a worldwide unit than 3 ind ones for Japan, NA and europe.

You could always charge it via the USB, but full charge takes 7 hours.

edit, here is the A1000:

http://www.stoneaudio.co.uk/stoneaudio/pro...sp?product=1646

the a3000 is available rather readily, while the A1000 seems to have some backlog, This item is usually dispatched within28 Days :ol_shocked:

Haha dont worry. I lived in Tokyo for a year so I have good friends over there. I've ordered so many psp's, digital cameras, and what not that it's absurd! I usually sell stuff on Ebay, and i've imported stuff over 50 times now, and only once been stung by customs. They still charged me according to the "value" on the package which was bullshit of course so it wasn't too bad. The A3000 can be bought in Tokyo for about 26,0000 yen brand new if you look around, but i can get it for under 20,000 yen. I can read kana and a little kanji so even if it wasn't in English I wouldn't mind, but it's my brother who wants it yet he has no proficiency in Japanese...that's why I decided to do a little research on this product. I'll hopefully buy one this week so I guess i'll find out about the software included and whether it works on an English OS or not.

Best place will be eBay.co.uk or one of the other European eBay sites. Also, try direct from Sony, it will be RRP though.

By the way, being in Turkey means that you're in Europe. Sony have released the players to Europe, not just the European Union have they not?!
