tommypeters
Thanks, are there any "tweaks" possible (and needed) on these units like the European Volume Limiting on 1st gen Hi-MD units? We have MZ-N710 and MZ-N910, so they're not in the DL section - but if there's anything doable for MZ-N510 (or maybe MZ-N707?) then it may also be possible for our models? Service codes required to unlock the EU Volume Limiter on the units you have indicated: N910 and N710 do exist. However, we do not have these service manuals at the moment. zickfun
Does that mean it's possible to unlock the volume limit on my MZ710 just using service codes and not having to open up the unit itself? And is this possible by looking up the MZ510 manual, which I thought that they were all identical except in terms of looks (i'm basing this on the fact of that old mod a while back where you could unlock mz910/n10 functions on a mz510)Thanks in advanced. Ishiyoshi
Welcome to MDCF!Does that mean it's possible to unlock the volume limit on my MZ-N710 just using service codes and not having to open up the unit itself?--> Yes, that correct. Highly plausible. And is this possible by looking up the MZ-N510 manual, which I thought that they were all identical except in terms of looks (i'm basing this on the fact of that old mod a while back where you could unlock mz910/n10 functions on a mz-n510)Not certain; it's best to confirm with MZ-N710's service manual prior to any service code edit. bertrik
How can these files be released under the lesser general public license?Does minidisc.org somehow own the copyrights? or has permission been given by the copyright holders?I highly doubt that.
