Hi All,

I have just received my new MZ RH-10; I have read through the manual (poor enough) once, but I need to go back over some of it.

I have a lot of questions but I will try to get answers myself first; however, there are a couple of questions that I need to post now!

1. Since I loaded SS V3.0 on my win XP (home) pc, every time I start my pc I get the following error dialog box from Sonic! “Your version of DLA can read files on this disk but you will not be able to edit or add to them” Is this a serious issue? (I already have another Sonic product installed – My DVD & Record Now, I rarely use these programs; is this the same Sonic company?)

2. Is it possible to listen on headphones to what is being recorded via the mic in port? I cannot seem to be able to do that! I would like to be able to monitor the quality of the recording as it progress’s.

Thanks in advance,

Just got one myself, my second md, my first net-md/hi-md.

Gotta agree with the lads here - 3.2 is much better. My favourite change is the ability to upload your own recordings unlimited times.

I'm just disappointed that there's no way to digitally upload the last 5 years worth of standard MD recordings.

I'm going to chain my old md (line-out) to the line-in of this one and record across all my live recordings (gigs, concerts, rehearsals, weddings, etc.) and then drag them back to the PC as data.

Gives me a decent backup first, then can fling the data across.

oh happy day, I love my Hi-MD. My wife is calling me an obsessive over it though!

About the installation, I suggest you install SP 2 for XP, and go for SS 3.2 instead. Also make sure you run the MDAC tool. (Search around the forum for this)

Syrius.

Hi Syrius,

I have sp2 installed but it looks like the error is not being caused by SonicStage according to Rombustors!

I will install 3.2 soon as one of the major gripes I had with buying a hi-md machine was that you could only upload your live recordings once, I tried it twice and bingo - my file on the hi-md was erased without a warning.

thanks to all who replied,

Fergus
