FergusF
Hi all,I recorded a voice interview on a Panasonic walkman type tape recorder before I got my rh-10 last week. I connected the headphone socket on the tape recorder to the line in on the rh-10. I monitored the quality on headphones on the rh-10. There was a terrible hum during the recording that was not on the original tape. I tried the same operation a 2nd time and the hum was not as bad.I have the sound setting set to normal and the record setting is set to hi-sp.Is there something that I am missing? are there other settings that I should be setting?thanks in advance,Fergus
greenmachine
Using the external power supply introduces unwanted hum if recording through the analog inputs. Use a battery instead.
