uncompressed
Hi allHave a problem, hope one of you can help:Years ago, I transferred a lot of music from CD to DAT. Now that I have a Hi-MD, I've been using it (via optical in) to make MD copies of my DATs. I wanted to send one such compilation to my girlfriend, who is in France for a few months, on CD. I followed a link I found on this site to upgrade to the latest SonicStage software (so I wouldn't have to compress and make an ATRAC-3 CD), but when I choose 'Audio CD', I am not allowed to burn a CD! Copywrite restrictions. As I owned the CDs (once upon a time - collection has been eviscerated due to myriad moves around the country), I have no compunction about trying to devise a way around this problem. I do have SoundForge; thought maybe some guru out there would be able to find a way I can convert the Open MG to aiff so I can use another program to burn the CDs. As there are lots of DATs I would like to get onto CD again, this would be a great help! Thanks in advanceTim
Syrius
The solution is even easier than you think.Just upload from Hi-MD, and use Hi-MD Renderer to convert the file to WAV, OGG, FLAC, or MP3.Burn and send away.
Andicillo
Yup!Find in this same forum the direct download of the Hi-Md renderer Program and go ahead! But remember to do as syrius told you Upload first using sonicStage
