videot
This is my first posting.I have just gotten a Sony MD-NH600 which came with Sonic STAGE 2. I have downloaded to version 3.1 because I live in Oz. I already have on my hard drive several thousand mp3' which I ripped from my cd's several years ago. My first priority is to get some of these onto minidisk as soon as possible.I did my first test transger the other day & everything went fine. Today I tried to do a real transfer & could not open Sonic Stage & got an error message about ''appname omgibox.exe AppVer 3.1.03110 ModName msjet40.dll ModVer 4.0.86180 Offset 000111e7' A web serch turned up something about using XP with SP1. It seems you have a choice of a patch or use SP2. I already have SP2 on a newly created PC. How do I get this software working? This hasn't been an auspicious start to creating disks. dsb2
obviously you don't understand the problem, I try many version of sonic stage, all have same problem, reinstall or install newer version won't solve this problem. looks it is connected to windows update, the worst thing is, after I do system recovery, I even cannot remove OpenMg.please uninstall then reinstall via the directions in this threadhttp://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=8071use www.connect.com to obtain the newest sonicstage 3.2. if this fails to fix the porblem please post the full specs of the computer.←

videot
To reinstall the program I would have to download it all again. I only have a 28kps connection & it took several hours to download as I recall. The first time I downloaded the update it didn't give me the option of saving the program. Can I get this newer version on a CD anywhere? It's hard to believe that my connection speed is so slow. I only live 8km from the centre of a major Australian but out ridculious telephone company, Telstra allows these sort of black holes of atrotious service to exist. You can't even get broadband service in this area unless you put in a satelite dish.
videot
It seems crazy that I should have to endure this problem since I don't intend either now or latter on to connect the program to the internet. As I said I already have thousands of mp3 files on hard drive & I can't see myself ever wanting to connect to the net for music.
Ishiyoshi
You can download MDCF's standalone SonicStage 3.2 installer within the download section. No further internet connection required during installation of the software.
videot
I looked at the download page & it has version 3.2 on offer. I was under the impressionthat 3.2 is for use only if you live in USA & that everwhere else should be using version 3.1. If this is correct is there anywhere to download 3.1 in a format that I can save?

videot
I can't but help wondering what if any consequences would evolve from installing 3.2 in lieu of version 3.1? Not much I imagine except perhaps getting some features that you can't use.
