herbolaryo
The sony mz-nh1 has sonic stage software. You can copy your files in the MD player to a PC only once. After that you can't transfer /copy it anymore to another computer or the same computer. Is there a way to recopy the files that you copied before? Syrius
Yes. Download Total Recorder or Audacity, connect your HI-MD to the PC, open Sonicstage and play the music. Use TR or Audacity to record that music real time. I know it's slow, but for the files you have already uploaded, it's the only option. If the uploaded OMA's are still in your system, use Hi-MD renderer to convert them to the format of your choice. (OGG, MP3, WAV, or FLAC) and then you can freely do what you want with them.BUT, if you want to be able to upload as many times as you want in the future, upgrade to SS 3.2. Note that this will work only with new recordings. The ones you have uploaded already won't be able to be uploaded again. And also, turn off the DRM option while you're at it. Can you tell more about the OMA and DRM? I am new to minidisc so a lot of terms are new to me. I have a followup question. In editing the sound files, what is the best software to remove the noise in the background? (freeware and also commercial software)

reefbeef
BUT, if you want to be able to upload as many times as you want in the future, upgrade to SS 3.2.←Syrius,Does SS 3.2 freeze the data on the disk after uploading? Can you still edit the disk after uploading?
Syrius
SS 3.2 merely copies the data from the Hi-MD to the HDD, and doesn't "lock" or disallow any future uploads from that same disc. Even to another computer. In other words, I can record something, upload it to my system, send it to you or anyone else here on the forum with SS 3.2, and the files can still be uploaded.HOWEVER, anything that has been uploaded through any previous SS will be marked and locked. And not even 3.2 will be able to upload it.I think it can still be edited. Haven't tried it, since I sold my Hi-MD to T0fler here in the forum.
