Toddz
Dear All When purchasing my marillion (marbles live) cd today from hmv which i have to tell you by hmv prices was very reasonable at £5.99,i walked past the accesories part and saw a huge basketful of md`s for sell,i have already mentioned this in another post under quality of mini disc media.... anyway i went to pay for them and said to the chap that i came back to purchase because you never know whether you will be able to still purchase these in a few months... He surprised me and said that he was a mini disc fan as well and had been for a few years, but recently he had sold his unit ( didnt ask him what unit it was sorry there was a queue) ,he said the reason in his opnion that mini disc was being phased out so to speak was because companys had tried to sell original minidisc recordings of music for £25.00 EACH when mini disc first came out ummmmmm is that right does any one know £ 25.00 each i cant quite believe that .... thus the title of my topic billy liar or not!!!!!!!!!RegardsToddz
mercury_in_flames
They might have been at one point, but they are or became, lol the same price as a regular cd.
Sunny
Can't confirm the £25 price tag but wouldn't be surprised. My brother bought "Jump Back The Best of The Rolling Stones" MD at the end of 2000 (I think) for £15.99 from Virgin Megastores.
Sparky191
I remember the only place that stocked them was Virgin, and then they never more than a tiny selection.
