ingoo
After getting SonicStage 3.3 to work after installing it for the first time, I still have a problem with Gracenote. When I want to import a CD, it doesn´t download the track info. When I click on the "CD-Info" button, it tells me that SS uses CDDB Gracenote blablabla and aks me if I want to register (never had that with an older SS version). I click yes, but nothing happens. I click on CD-Info again after a while, but again nothing happens.Does anyone have a similiar problem or even a solution? Thanks!
KrazyIvan
Yes, I had that problem with SS 3.0. That's what prompted me to install SS 3.2. It is fixed now. What I actually think happened was the permissions in my firewall got messed up. I had upgraded my firewall just before the problem occured. The fact that my firewall recognized SS 3.2 as a new program and had me setup the permissions for it up again is what I think fixed it. mercury_in_flames
Nothing happens at all when u click yes? Does the Connect shop work?? Or is it only gracenote that doesnt want to work>?
Sparky191
On reinstalling SS 3.3 I got asked that. But it registered fine and is working ok for me. But it does sound like a connection issue, where it can't find the web.

Or is it only gracenote that doesnt want to work>?Thanks for your replies so far. The Connect shop does work. I disabled my firewall once and tried to register again, but still the same problem. I click Yes, but nothing happens at all. I don´t think a reinstall will solve the problem, but I´ll try that too.I´m connected to the Internet permanently through a LAN. I just plug the cable in my laptop, and it is connected to the internet. Anybody have a clue if the problem could be there?
mercury_in_flames
I'm also connected all the time (wireless), Try deleting sonic stage stuff from the registry, and installing 3.3. Only do this if you have a backup of ur library and all the stuff to return ur library to how it was from scratch.

Anybody have a clue if the problem could be there?Hi,possible, that the LAN you connect to is a private one and shielded through a firewall outside your computer? In this case, you should check SonicStage's proxy settings (you find them somewhere unter the 'Extras' - 'Options' - menus). In my case, the new install of SS 3.3 over SS 3.2 did NOT preserve the proxy settings I've made in the previous version!Cheers - Killroy. ingoo
Thanks for your advice, today I found the solution for my problem. When I installed SS 3.3 earlier Spybot had denied the registry changes that SS applies (some annoying warnings from Spybot popped up, but I didn´t pay attention to them). So the possibilty to register with Gracenote was disabled through Spybot during the installation. So I deinstalled Spybot, installed SS3.3 again and it worked Well Sonicstage isn´t such a bad program after all.....when it works!
