I'm new here, so sorry if this might've been asked before...

I just got a new mz-m10, and I hear one of the differences between it and the mz-m100 is that the latter comes with a remote. Anyone know what model number that remote is so I can try to find it on ebay, or any other remotes that should work with the mz-m10? I didn't see the mz-m10 on that big compatilibilty list for remotes on the forum yet... thanks

You can probably pick up a RM-MC35ELK for under 20 bucks on ebay. I'm gonna be buying one soon, it looks pretty sweet. Full description here: http://minidisc.org/part_Sony_RM-MC35ELK.html. And according to everyone here, the RM-MC40ELK is by far the best remote for hi-md because of its 3 line display and jog dial, but they are a little more expensive, probably around 50 bucks on ebay.

The offical remote that comes with the MZM-100 is the RM-MC60 (part number 1-479-321-11) and can be found at Sony Parts Services in US for $43.95 by inputting the part number into the search engine on their site.

However this is not a backlit remote so you could either go as Rob says for the RM-MC35ELK which ships with the Japanese RH10 amongst others or the 3 line RM-MC40ELK. Both of which can be bought on eBay. For the latter I would recommend buyfromjapan a reputbale seller that many people here (including myself have used).
