My instinct is to go for the cheapest, because I am cheap, and I figure it is good enough (cheapest is the dh710)

anyone got an opinion? What is the difference and is there one that I am leaving out?

I was looking at this site

here

is this a good suplier, is it a good deal? is it reputable?

Any help would be a huge help.

I would prefer the cheapest unless i will regret it later.

Thanks a ton in advance

The DH710 is fine is you plan on only recording through the usb port on your computer. If you want to record with line in or mic the dh710 won't cut it because it doesn't have mic or line in ports. The RH710 is cheap and has line in. The RH910 has both the mic and line in. If you really want to go with the cheapest possible look for an NH700, has mic in and line in and can be had for probably 140 bucks. If you don't need mic in but do need line in, go for an nh600 (not nh600d unless you are only using the usb port) which is the cheapest hi-md on the market.

ah yes

it has been awhile since I was watching these . . . i DO need a mic input

and my main purpose is to record demos and live shows and put them on mp3 for online distribution (speed is the key)

thanks for the suggestions, anyone else have any thoughts?

what to get and where to get it?

i can't find the NH700 in the USA, even on ebay

if you can find it, get the NH700/800 or even 900, if not, no worries...

get the RH910 unless you really think the OLED is worth the extra money (which I doubt as you say you'd prefer the cheapest solution) and if you do not need to stealth record, you can just as well use a key-chain light to view the rec-levels on te MD in a dark venue... (or just get a RM-MC40ELK remote from e-bay if you do need to see backlit levels with the 910)
