I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on how to record music from PC to Mini Disc. All the usual retailers such as PC World, Dixons, Currys, etc... have nothing which does the job of a CD writer for Mini Discs. Is there any such unit, which connects to PC's or is there any other hardware i could purchase which connects to the PC via leads which i could record my music too? I would appreciate any suggestions or information.

Many thanks

The MD player i have is a car stereo so cannot connect it to the PC. I was wondering if there was a particular piece of hardware i could purchase which i can use to record music from the PC to MD and then play in the car.

I understand from the reply that an MD player/recorder with USB cables is the only way. Thankyou for the NetMD and HiMD advice.

Thanks for your interest and help.

If that's all you want to use it for, get any NetMD--you can see all the models under the Browser tab. Even the most basic ones--NE410, S1--will be able to download music in SP, via SonicStage, to play in the car.

No MZ-R models (which were pre-NetMD): just MZ-N** . (2d-generation Hi-MD's are MZ-RH** but you don't need to spend that much.)

Look on eBay, where they're under $100, sometimes under $50. Look closely at photos--make sure you don't see huge wear on the buttons or "wheel"--and check the seller's feedback, etc.

Or look at some of the model numbers in Froogle via www.google.com. Some stores have old NetMD models like the NE410 for very low prices.
