Hi,

sorry if this is an annoying question. I seached around as much as I could to find if there was a way to hack my MZ-N707 MD player and get it to read Hi-MD disks. From what I can tell Hi-MD is a different format and different technology so I will not be able to get my standard MD player to work with high MD. Is this correct?

That is correct. The way data is written and read to/from Hi-MD discs can only be read by Hi-MD units and is not backwards compatible.
