lesjb
Hi everyone, I recently purchased the MD home unit (MDS-JE330) and for some reason, when I try to record, the unit just ejects the disc. I'm not sure what the problem could be. Does anyone have this same problem? I got a good deal on the unit, so I figure something must be damaged with it. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks. . . KrazyIvan
I have the JE330 and have not experienced the problem you mention. I usually record from my CD deck and use the remote to put the MD deck and CD player on record standby mode then just press the start button. Everything starts up automatically and I just let it go until finished.
ATELETRONICS
did you check the write protect tab on the disk?
KrazyIvan
That does not cause the disc to eject though.

Check to see if there isn't something in the slot for the disk. I had the same trouble because one of the kids dropped a puzzle piece in there and the disk would eject. It worked fine after I removed it.
KrazyIvan
I had this happen to me for the first time last night. It turned out to be a damaged MD disc. The metal shutter on a TDK disc was slightly bent on the edge, sort of crushed a bit. I did not notice it at first but it freaked me out when it happened. I put in a new disc and it worked fine.
