blazer78
Besides e-shops, is there any physical storefronts here in sydney that still sell 1st or 2nd generation hi-md units? I need to get another one as a spare =Pthanks for any suggestions.
atrain
might be at the sonystore or at jb hi-fi - you'll get far better prices online & if you need an australian warrantywww.minidisc.com.au is perfect

atrain
you could always buy the cheaper unit to use as a dedicated recorder, leaving your current unit as a player reducing wear & tear
blazer78
i guess i could... but should i? i just wanted a secondary player/recorder i could take out and wave around in public, although.. meh i guess it doesn't really matter. rei-gouki
... first off, I don't think RH910 was released in Australia. But as for units, there was a good one off George St a little north and opposite QVB I found while I was in Sydney tail end of January. I can't remember much beyond the name being G-something or other and it being an acronym of 2 or 3 letters. There were a lot of electronics there not to mention having a few exits to the place. It should be hard to miss.Other than that one, random electronics stores should have them as left over stock (I found one at Harvey Norman a couple of months ago on the shelf). I don't think they'll have the huge discounted prices, though.
blazer78
while going to the university of sydney today (to get some lecture notes), i went into the co-op bookshop and found discounted Hi-MDs! I believe its 35% off RRP. And they have stock of the supa rare mz-nh900... too bad i can't afford that.. =( Edited March 8, 2006 by blazer78
i2blue
there are 1st gen HiMD recorders being sold at Co-op UTS too, but they are selling for 300-400aus, the up side is that you get the promo bundle with it.
