A440
What else has changed on your computer? Particularly security programs, firewalls, spyware, etc? Try turning those off (and disconnect from internet) and see if the transfer process goes through.

A440
The firewall may block connections in or out of your computer to transfer the information to MD, or not allow your computer to run whatever module of SonicStage transfers the songs. It's just a guess. Unplugging from the internet is for your own security while the firewall is down. The one time I connected an unprotected computer, it had a virus shutdown in 10 minutes. It's probably irrelevant to you, but I have had trouble with Norton Firewall blocking applications it was supposed to be letting through, like Eudora E-mail. I finally gave up on it and got the free Sygate instead. Edited March 8, 2006 by A440

A440
Unfortunately, Symantec/Norton bought Sygate, apparently to put them out of business. Sygate no longer offers the free download, just redirects to Norton. Go to http://www.oldversion.com and get it there. Do it soon, who knows how long it will stay? A440
Realplayer also works with NetMD, or used to. I've never used it, so you'll have to rely on whatever Help files it offers. Have you tried a different USB cable? Are you connecting directly to your computer's USB port (not a hub)?

The Low Volta
have you checked all transfer-options in SS (perhaps it is trying to transfer 'as is' with an unsupported format for your NetMD and the alternative action is 'do nothing' or something alike ... sorry, I'm on a mac right now, so I can't check my SS to see if there even is such an option)have you tried another disc? have you tried an empty disc initialised by SShave you read the rules for software support? (i.e. post your system specs and as much info as you can)

The Low Volta
your specs are well within the requirements and pretty well updated (SP-wise)... you should check the advanced settings under the transfer settings to see what it converts to if it can't transfer as is... as you have a NetMD this should be set to LP2 (or SP, but with SS this is actually the same SQ as LP2, so pretty useless unless for compatitbility with SP-only equipment)I believe the standard is a HiMD-mode so this wouldn't be understood by your NetMD...what are the specs of the track? MP3/wav/... what frequency/bitrate... as this would determine as well if your NetMD could understand the formatdo other tracks (try a fresh rip into LP2 from a CD) work?Hope we can further isolate the problem this way...as MD is way too much fun to be causing troubles!PS: my avatar is a moving jpeg made in ImageReady from a number of shots of the toilet in my former student house flushing

A440
There may be some copy protection on that particular Muse mp3. Try converting it to .wav with Dbpoweramp and using SonicStage to send the .wav to MD. Realplayer probably needs some Sony drivers to connect to MD. Here's advice from some techsupport board: I just cut-and-pasted, so I don't vouch for it. (Open RealPlayer, go to Tools > Add Device, select Sony from the Browse menu, select Sony NetMD)Note: the RealPlayer plugin needs all the Sony software installed before it will work properly, even if you choose not to use SonicStage/OpenMG.If you don't have the CD, go to http://esupport.sony.com/perl/model-swu.pl?mdl=MZN707 for software updates and drivers. bobt
You shoud have 3.4 for all the improvements. What I have done with problem child downloads is to burn them to a cd and simpleburn them to MD. Alternatively you can line out from your computer to line in on the 707. Good luck,Bob
