Airport security precautions

Probably a question that has been asked a thousand times before, but as I'm new to MD please enlighten me.

Does anyone take precautions taking their MDs on holiday - i.e. when passing through airport security. I usually take CDs, but this year it will be MDs.

Welcome to MDCF!

Rest assured - you should not encounter any security issues within US or other international airports. I’ve traveled with my MDs countless of times and never had any issues with the airport security. Just leave it within your carry-on during initial security scan.

Thanks for the advice - I wasn't worried about the security aspect, just being without any music on holiday..... I wondered whether the magnetic field might wipe the MDs - obviously not!

No I don't think you've anything to be worried about I travel regularly with both units and discs in my hand luggage and have never had any issues.
