g_montel
HiI bought my RH10 in december and the crappy remote is broken yet! It doesn't allow volume change now I'd like to buy a new remote for it. Can you tell me which one works well with RH10 ?I'd like one with display of artist/title.There's a list of remotes but they seem to be for first gen unit. Thanks for your recommandation!geoffroy

jaylen
Do you know if the 40ELK allows going to record mode ?As far as I know, remotes that work with Hi-MD units will let you change recording levels. But, the 40ELK is the only remote that will actually show the recording/input levels on its display.Edit: I wasn't sure what your question meant, so sorry if this doesn't answer it. minispecs
HiI bought my RH10 in december and the crappy remote is broken yet! It doesn't allow volume change now That's the exact thing that happened to mine, I purchased mine in March (and no AVLS wasn't on)! I returned it to Amazon, it was easy, but you probably didn't have that option. SUCKS! I also panicked at how easily the volume didn't work on it that I also went to eBay and purchased a used RM-MC40ELK based upon recommendations here. It arrived today and I'm just getting used to it. I came here to find out if there were any hacks I needed to make it even better! Best of luck in finding a remote that works for you. Obviously the remotes aren't being made well, mine wasn't working within a week. minispecs

Roamer
Thanks !Do you know if the 40ELK allows going to record mode ?No, there are actually very few remotes that have a record button (and I'm not sure if Sony as made any ..) . But you can set the unit in REC PAUSE, and start with the remote.
