I don`t think There will be any problem in using Toshiba 60gb hard disk .But do that carefully .If in doubt Always look at the Service Manual of HD5(AVAILABLE FROM download section of AtracLife)...

Have ever You ever opened your NW-HD5 before ?I mean to say have you ever taken out the hard disk of HD5?

Also tell us the specification of 60GB Hard Disk ?I think it should be same as 20gb (MK-2600GAL )

I have the Toshiba 60GB 1.8" HDD as discussed within this thread; and its model number is MK6006GAH. I acquired it recently for just under $200 for use with my Sony subnotebook TR5. So, the price quoted by the dealer is fine as long it includes shipping.

I should see no problems arising, just as long as it will physically fit inside the player (i always thought 60gb drives were thicker though).
