el0gic
I downloaded the full ss3.4 from this website. On installing, I got some error messages:from Execute: "c:\windows\temp\ss34\instmsia\msiinst.exe",the error message - "The specified service already exists"from WMP: 9.0.0.2980, 1,the error message - "Please update Windows Media Player to version 7.1 or newer"In the details, the last two lines read:Execshell: open "http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download"Detected 9.0.0.2980, Windows Media Player 7.1 or newer requiered(sic)Then setup stops. I have windows media player 9, on windows me, and everything works fine. I tried reinstalling media player, restarting the computer, and uninstalling old sonicstage (1.5), but no luck either way (in any order). I installed from the same exe on a computer with xp and it was fine.
Stuge
Delete SonicStage first --> then install WMP10 OR WMP11BETA --> then install SonicStage again

danielbb90
there is 3 options that I can see...Try version 7.1 http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsme...n7/default.aspx (downgrade)Or try downloading version 9 install that - there might have been a minor update in it since the last download - and try then...http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsme...es/default.aspxOr try Sonic Stage CP 4.0 http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=9586 Edited June 12, 2006 by danielbb90
el0gic
I uninstalled WMP, and then installed v7.1 - ss34 wouldn't install. I uninstalled again and installed v9 - ss34 still wouldn't install. I can't see why this isn't working. Are there conflicts with windows me? Is there a way to bypass the version identification procedure or trick it?The target computer isn't connected to the net, so ss4 isn't an option.
