yo people after 2 years now it happened again: only 1 headphone is working..

I think it is because of the input in the MDrecorder itself where you put the plug of your headphones in, and there is really nothing i can do about it. It does play sound through both ears when i put in half of the headphoneplug.

in my experience this always happens after a while with portable audio. it happened to my tape walkmans, discmans, and now with my MD. What can i do about this?

greetz

oh and it isn't because of the earphones, they just work fine if i put them in my pc.

I think your best option is to send it to sony for repair...

Or are you useing the same headphones, lol, ok probably not but if you are it night be them...

yeah but it will take like 2 months before i get it back, already did that with an old walkman a few years ago but they sent it back unrepaired.

I know that it is not of much use now... but I've always made a habit of being extra careful with minijack plugs... the sockets aren't always soldered very strongly onto the board and also the metal contacts can get bent so they won't make contact anymore...

I just hold the plug and machine very securely and try not to put any lateral pressure on the plug/socket at all... so far I've only ruined my stereo's socket... but I've had that for 15 years now :P
