Does Musicmatch work with NW-A1000?

I've had the NW-A1000 for about a week now, and the Connect player has now done it's thing. I've installed Sonicstage which is working fine, but i'm not that enamoured with it.

I have also installed Musicmatch Jukebox 10 and it does recognize the player (even prompting to download a plug-in to ensure so), but after transfering a cd in MP3 format it didn't show on the player itself. In Musicmatch you can actually select each of the individual folders that exist within the player (software, etc). Is it possible to select the corresponding folder and drop the files into it via Musicmatch?

Any help with this would be great, as i would much rather prefer to use Musicmatch over the "other two", and although i use the atrac format for the sony player i do so only for file size. I'm perfectly happy to switch formats as long as the software is up to scratch.

onw,

Welcome to "AtracLIFE",

If you ask me No software other than Sonic Stage or Connect are compatible with A-3000 or A1000.. Music Match or Windows Media Player does show sony devices as "Removable Drive" but if you transfer music through these softwares than it will not be visible through Network walkman or You can`t Listen through A3000 or A1000

thanks, i thought that might be the case. but i'm gonna keep playing around and see what i can muster. didn't musicmatch used to be a sony program anyway?

Perhaps you are thinking of RealPlayer which was in partnership with Sony for a few years, it ended in 2003 or '04. I'm curious if the flashplayers will work with RP as you can still get the device drivers for the Sony Walkman line from RP.

Other than GYM, found elsewhere on this site, I've not come across any 3rd party software that supports the Network Walkman products.

Musicmatch, Real, Windows Media Player, Napster, Yahoo Music Engine, Rhapsody and others have the Walkman showing up as only a removable HDD (which it is) but they cannot write the proper format of music and other special files needed to make the Walkman work.
