unignal
Was looking into buying a cheap and convenient IEM, and came across Koss The Plug and Spark Plug. Since they are similarly priced, I was wondering if there a difference between the 2 (in terms of sound).I've done some research and got pretty mixed comments about these plugs. Any inputs? The only other IEM I owned was a Sony EX81, before the wire started to rot. Edited July 15, 2006 by Unignal

Any inputs? The only other IEM I owned was a Sony EX81, before the wire started to rot. I've owned the Plug and it was awful. Very bloated bass and veiled mids. The highs were completely overwhelmed. I think that these are terrible phones and not at all worth buying.
Sparky191
The current popular low end canal phone, on head fi is the Sennheiser CX300 or the Creative EP-630. I haven't tried either so I can't comment. The Koss Plugs doesn't seem to be that well regarded.
The Low Volta
panasonic RP-JE50 are ok as well!
Sparky191
panasonic RP-JE50 are ok as well!I actually do have those. They are ok, but to be honest I prefer my cheap MX500's. I also have the PMX100's but they are a little too bassy for me. I'm going to try Koss KSC-75 next.

bobt
Doesn't it hurt putting spark plugs in your ears?? Are they still hooked up to the car??LOLBob
unignal
no idea. anyone with sparkplug, comment?btw I just bought the EP630. I feel its much better than Sony EX81.Also a warning to all those buying Sony InEars, the cables may rot after a few months of usage (mine after 9mnths). Who will want to bring earphones with its wires exposed to the street? Not me. Money down the drain.
jaylen
I don't have any experience with them, but I've read that the newer SparkPlug (white) sounds better than the older Plug (purple, blue). Although it's thought that this is due to the SparkPlug having a different kind of tip foam, allowing for a better fit.
